 PASSOVER – PRAISE JESUS!

 PASSOVER PICTURES BEING FREED FROM THE BONDAGE OF SIN!
Exodus 12:5-7, 13-14 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year:  you shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:  and you shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month:  and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.  And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it. – – – And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where you are:  and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.  And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and you shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; you shall keep it a feast by an ordinance forever.
WHEN CHRIST SHED HIS BLOOD, IT MEANS HE GAVE HIS LIFE!
Genesis 9:4  But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.
Leviticus 17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood:  and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls:  for it is the blood that makes an atonement for the soul.
John 10:17-18 – Therefore does My Father love Me, because I lay down My life, that I might take it again.  No man takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself.  I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again.  This commandment have I received of My Father.
CHRIST IS THE PASSOVER LAMB WHO FREES US FROM THE GUILT OF SIN!
John 1:29, 36 – The next day John saw Jesus coming unto him, and said, Behold the Lamb of God, Who takes away the sin of the world. – – – And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he said, Behold the Lamb of God!
1 Corinthians 5:7-8 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, as you are unleavened.  For even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us:  therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
Hebrews 9:12-14, 22 – Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by His own blood He entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.  For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctified to the purifying of the flesh:  how much more shall the blood of Christ, Who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? – – – And almost all things are by the Law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.  [Note:  Blasphemy of the Holy Ghost is the rejection of His testimony that Jesus is the Son of God, and therefore, it cannot be forgiven – it is the rejection of Christ!]

“Tell all the congregation of Israel that on the tenth day of this month, each man is to take a lamb for his family one lamb for the household.” (Exodus 12:3,5)

Celebrating with you the power and goodness of the Lord Almighty at Passover!

With an outstretched arm God called His people
out of slavery in Egypt and to Himself.
Thousands of years later,
He stretched out His arm to redeem us
from our sin through His Son,
Messiah Yeshua.
Through Yeshua, our Passover Lamb,
God draws us to Himself.

May His presence be your joy!

FIRST A LAMB, AND THEN A LION

At His First Advent, Jesus, the Son of God, was born in a lowly manger (Lk. 2:7).  His parents were so poor, that they could only afford two doves for an offering at His circumcision (Lev. 12:8; Lk. 2:24).  He grew up a common laborer (Mk. 6:3).  After He began His ministry, He had no place to call His own (Lk. 9:58).  In order to pay the Temple tax, He needed “a miracle fish with a hunger for coins” (Mt. 17:27).  Women supported Him (Mk. 15:41).  He was described as a sacrificial Lamb of God (Jn. 1:29).  The Apostle Paul described Jesus as coming as a servant (Phil. 2:7-8)!

When Jesus returns to rule His Millennial Kingdom, He will come as a King, as the Lion of the Tribe of Judah (Rev. 5:5)!  No more mangers; no more poverty; no more being a servant; He will come as described in the following verses:

“Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in His kingdom. And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, and was transfigured before them: and His face did shine as the sun, and His raiment was white as the light “ (Mt. 16:28-17:2).

“And in the midst of the seven candlesticks One like unto the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.  His head and His hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and His eyes were as a flame of fire; and His feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and His voice as the sound of many waters.  And He had in His right hand seven stars: and out of His mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and His countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength” (Rev. 1:13-16).

“And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and He that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He doth judge and make war.  His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns; and He had a name written, that no man knew, but He Himself.  And He was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and His name is called The Word of God.  And the armies which were in heaven followed Him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.  And out of His mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations: and He shall rule them with a rod of iron: and He treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.  And He hath on His vesture and on His thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS” (Rev. 19:11-16).
All those who rejected Jesus at His First Coming, will bow to Him at His Second Coming!

A Clean Heart

Play
Lyrics: Walter C. Smith
Music: Fred H. Byshe

One thing I of the Lord desire,
For all my path hath miry been,
Be it by water or by fire,
O make me clean, O make me clean.

Refrain:
Wash me, Thou, without, within,
Or purge with fire, if that must be,
No matter how, if only sin
Die out in me, die out, die out in me.

If clearer vision Thou impart,
Grateful and glad my soul shall be;
But yet to have a purer heart
Is more to me, is more to me.

Yea, only as this heart is clean
May larger vision yet be mine,
For mirrored in its depths are seen
The things divine, the things divine.

I watch to shun the miry way,
And stanch the springs of guilty thought,
But, watch and struggle as I may,
Pure I am not, pure I am not.

HymnPod: Grace! Tis A Charming Sound

Grace! Tis A Charming Sound

Play

Posted: 22 Jun 2012 09:47 PM PDT

Lyrics:Philip Doddridge, Augustus M. Toplady
Music: Isaac Smith

Grace, ’tis a charming sound,
Harmonious to mine ear;
Heaven with the echo shall resound,
And all the earth shall hear.

Refrain:
Saved by grace alone!
This is all my plea:
Jesus died for all mankind,
And Jesus died for me.

Grace first contrived the way
To save rebellious man;
And all the steps that grace display
Which drew the wondrous plan.

Grace first inscribed my name
In God’s eternal book;
’Twas grace that gave me to the Lamb,
Who all my sorrows took.

Grace led my roving feet
To tread the heavenly road;
And new supplies each hour I meet,
While pressing on to God.

Grace taught my soul to pray
And made mine eyes o’erflow;
’Twas grace which kept me to this day,
And will not let me go.

Grace all the work shall crown,
Through everlasting days;
It lays in heaven the topmost stone,
And well deserves the praise.

O let Thy grace inspire
My soul with strength divine
My all my powers to Thee aspire,
And all my days be Thine.
